Mr and Mrs Henry Hall arc leaving on Friday on a trip to Australia. MV and Mrs \V. Hume (Foxton) are on a visit to Wellington, and arc staying at the Koval Oak. Mr and Mrs Dymock (Wanganui) arc on a visit to Wellington, and are staying at the Cecil. Mr and Mrs David Mills (Sydney) are staying at the Grand Hotel. Miss Cobb, who has been visiting Rotorua and Auckland, has returned, and is staying at Balmoral. Miss Ethel Ledger, who has been on a visit to Wellington, returned to Xelson yesterday. Mr and Mrs Fox (England) are staying nt tho Windsor. Miss Carey (Mastcrton) is on a short visit to Wellington. Mrs and Miss Oliphant (Auckland) are staying at the Koval Oak. "Mrs Wroughton and Miss Wrough ton (Ashburton) are staying with Mrs Larnach. Mr and Mrs Franco, who have been visiting Nelson, are returning to ‘Wanganui to-day. Miss L. Speedy (Horbertville) is staying at the Windsor. Miss Brewster (New Plymouth) is staying with Miss Sutton. Miss Climie and Mrs Murray, who have boon visiting Wellington, are returning to Hawera to-day. Mrs Frank Nelson, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs Gore, returned yesterday to Alfredton. Mrs P. J. Dunne (Ohakune) is on a visit to Wellington., Miss Fisher (Christchurch) has gone to Palmerston, where she will play in the golf tournament. Mrs Hector Smith, who haa been spending a week in Wellington, has returned to Napier. Mr and Mrs Dalziell (Palmerston North) aro staying at tho Cecil. Miss Thompson, who has been staying with Mrs Gilkinson, left last evening for Dunedin. Miss Hayes and Miss Cargill, who have been on a holiday visit to Nelson, returned yesterday. Miss Frater and Miss Horrocks (Auckland), who have been staying with Mrs Halcomb© Brown, are leaving to-day on a short visit to Feilding. Dr and Mrs Wilson returned to Palmerston yesterday afternoon from a trip to the Old Country, The following members of "Our Miss Gibbs Company 7 "' are staying at the Albert Hotel:—Miss Blanche Browne, Miss Nelli© Calvin, Miss Nellie Leslie, Miss Hilda Smith, Miss' Kilby Armiieid, Miss E. ’ Armficld, Mr Fred' Leslie, Mr Andrew Higginson, Mr Fritz Hart, and Mr Mclntyre. A ,verv largo number were present yesterday afternoon at the sale of flowers, honie-mado sweets, cakes, etc., held in the Nurses’ Home, Willis street. Business was very brisk and everything was ♦.old very speedily. The flowers were very beautiful, a large number coming up from Christchurch. Tho demand far exceeded tho supply. Excellent afternoon tea and fruit salad were supplied. Miss Thelma Peterson, of Carterton, th© gifted contralto, is to give a concert in Palmerston North some time this month. A number of local residents are interesting themselves in Miss Petersen’s career, and have formed, themselves into a committee to assist the concert.
