Writing to a correspondent Mr Ramsay MacDonald, Parliamentary , Secretary of the Labour party, states that when the House of Commons meets tho Labour party will adopt the Insurance Bill. His influence would bo thrown into that scale. Tho Bill wanted one or two amendments and ho thought that the party would get them. It would be a mist alee to give tho public an assurance that tho party was opposed to the Bill, except two or three members.
DOCTORS’ AND FRIENDLY SOCIETIES’ OBJECTION. A REPORTED COMPROMISE. (Received October 10, 10.15 p.m.) LONDON, October 10. Mr Lloyd George had a private conference with representatives of the Medical Association and the friendly societies, and it is understood that a compromise regarding their obßjoctions to the Insurance Bill was arrived at.
