The gendarmes withdrew. jßjajnadan is a town 185 miles westebutbwost of Teheran, -and was occupied by Salax-od-Bowleh, on' behalf of the ox-Shah. fn August last. Tho BaJditiari, governor of tho town, ■ withdrew without fighting, though ho had received a barge sum from the Government for the purposes of defence.
