Through tho voguo of tho hobbleskirt lessening tho demand for underskirts, a number of girls employed by tho Brook Manufacturing Company, Northampton, were given other work to do. They struck. Tho company has now looked out all of the twelve hundred employees.
DUBLIN BAKERIES RESUMING. (Received October 10, 10.15 p.m.) LONDON, October 10. Work is being gradually resumed at tho bakeries in Dublin. AUSTRALIAN SHEARERS’ AWARD. TERMS NOT FINALLY SETTLED. SYDNEY, October 10. Mr Justice Higgins will hear the representatives of both sides before finally settling tho terms of tho shearers’ award.
