Abraham and Williams. Ltd,, have re* ceivod the following cable from London, October 9th; —"Tho sales closed with good competition from la good attendance ol buyers, Americans operating sparingly, Present values, as compared with tho closing rates of last series, show the following depreciation:—-Pine crossbred and merino* 5 per cent.; medium, 7i per cent.; coarvA 2i per cent. Prospects doubtful,-owing to the uncertainty of the political situation. J
ADELAIDE WOOL SALES. ■ Dalgoty and Co., Ltd., ‘Wellington, have received -cabled -info(rmation from tlioir Adelaide branch, dated October 9th, da follows Wool sales were held to-day, and tho total offerings were 25,000 bales. Good quality merino was lower by id per lb, and medium and inferior sorts lower by Jd per lb. Prices were irregular, and lower, for lambs’ wool.
