Y.M.C.A. CRICKET CLUB

Mr Atneave presided over the annual meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Cricket Club. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, showing that the club had bad a fairly successful season, being well up on tho list in both junior and third-class championships. It was decided that a bat, which is being presented'by Mr C. R Smith for tho best fieldsman in tho club last season .be awarded to H. McGirr. McGirr headed tho junior batting averages with 35.5 runs per innings, Mr Murphy being next with 25.8 runs per innings. In the bowling department AV. Muldom had the excellent average of '49 wickets, at a cost of 8.7 runs per wicket, AV. Hoid 12. and A. Edwards 13.5, being next. B. Sclater headed the_ third-class averages with 18.2 runs per innings, H. Holmes being next with 18.1 runs per innings. 11. X. Holmes also headed the bowling average with 6 runs per wicket, R.
