THE T.W.C.A.
FIFTH ANNIVERSARY. Practically every part of the Town Hall was tilled last evening when the fifth anniversary of tho Young Women's Christian Association was celebrated by a cinematograph entertainment. Lady Islington and a party from Government House were present and were received by the president of tho association (Mrs McClay), Mrs Hoby, Miss McLean, tho secretary (Miss Jean S. Wilson). Mr J. G. W. Aitken, and Mr A. Hoby. A very good programme of films was provided, amongst the items being pictures showing tho Coronation procession of their Majesties King George V. and Queen Mary. In a brief address during the interval Mr Aitken returned thanks to those who had attended the gathering. The association was an institution which did a very great deal of work amongst the young women of this city. Young ladies had a place where they could spend their spare hours and where they could always find something to interest them. In conclusion, Mr Aitken thanked all those who had contributed towards tho success of the evening, especially Messrs John Fuller and Sons, who supplied the films.
Tho Wellington Gas Company's orchestra rendered appropriate accompaniments to tho pictures.
