ALBANIAN REVOLT
TURKISH TERMS ACCEPTED BY MALISSORI. ALARMING SPREAD OF CHOLERA By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received August 4, 11 p.m.) CETTINGE, August 4. The Malissori, yielding to the advice of King Nicholas (King of Montenegro) have accepted the Turkish ter pis. There is an alarming spread of cholera among Albanian troops. Tho terms offered to the Malissori include the remission of ■ taxes for two years, the _ establishment of schools wherein the 'Albanian language will bo taught, the payment of compensation for damaged houses, and grants of money and food to assist the people through thewinter. Tho Montenegrins have done more than any other people to succour the unfortunate Albanians, and it was recently stated that ton thousand refugees had sought safety in Montenegro. The gross treachery of the Turks and their atrocious treatment of tho Albanians have afforded good ground for the latter being suspicious of any offers which they made, but there is reason to hope, from tho fact that Turgut Pasha, who had become notorious for his cruelties,: has been superseded by Abdullah Pasha, who is said.to bo of milder disposition, that there is really an intention on tho part of the Turks to treat tho unfortunate highlanders with humanity. The further fact that a British Minister in a recent speech gave a broad hint to Turkey, and that tho Archbishop of Canterbury qnj other influential persons in Britain have initiated a fund for the relief of the Albanians may also, perhaps, have had tho effect of showing the Turk that it would bo inadvisable for him to continue his policy of ruthless repression.
