THE WEATHER PROSPECT?
GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY. (By the Government Meteoroloeriat.) Present indications (5 p.m. Friday) are for moderate south-easterly winds northward of Kawhia and "Napier, and easterly and northerly breezes elsewhere. Fair weather will probably prevail, though cloudy and unsettled at times, especially on the east coast of the North Island and on the west coast and northern districts of the South Island. The barometer has a falling tendency in the southernmost districts, but little movement is now indicated generally. (Details on shipping page.)
