The Chartered Company is developing its Rhodesian railway system in order to encourage settlement ox its lands by men with small capital. At present dew settlers can make any headway, unless possessed of ,£7OO or £1000; with improved communications it is hoped to give the man with £3GO or £IOO a chance. Extensive tin lodes have lately been discovered at Enterprise, twenty-two miles from Salisbury, and many claims have been pegged out.
