Messrs Baldwin and Ea’yward, patent agents, Wellington, report that they have filed the following applications for patents in New Zealand, during the week ending August 3rd, 1911 :—G. Beatson, Nelson, an improved knock-down crate for packing fruit, butter and the like; W. Bailey, Queensland, means for securing clean water; Messrs Harding and Hunter, Western Australia, improvements in chucks for rock drills and other purposes; B. E. Smith, Sydney., improvements in the wet dressing :of sulphide ores; H. G. Williams, One* hunga, an improvement relating to pilesj M. Moloney, Christchurch, an improved fire alarm.
