A HANDY DRIVER
Tho wheel may be used for driving any light-running machine, or anything needing belt-driving. Tho chief requirement is an old cycle wheel, with tyre removed, which must have a free-wheel hub. It is fastened to the two posts, and an old bicycle-chain is arranged as
in sketch, one end fixed to the pedal and tho other attached to a spring. By pressing the pedal down the wheel can bo turned sharply, tho spring pulling tho chain back smartly on the freewheel, all ready for the next stroke. With a little experience a great speed can bo obtained.—"Hobbies/*
