At the College street ecnool committee meeting last night a resolution was passed in favour of compulsory attendance at technical school and continuation classes 'of children who leave school at-- the age of fourteen years. it was decided to hold a meeting of delegates of school committees on August 2Sth to discuss the matter, and also to invito Air Braik, chief inspector of the Wanganui district, to attend. The committee appointed the following deegates to represent College street school: —Messrs Hodder, Whitehead, and Bov. DonaiL The annual meeting of the Manawata Employers' Association was held last night, presided over by Mr Aitcheson. The report showed the association to be in a prosperous-' state. Mr W.
