After a riot to-day, in which five persons were killed and many injured, President Simon, whose power is plainly broken, decided that lie would leave the city to the revolutionists. The president’s family is already on board his private yacht.
General Antoine Simon was appointed President in December, 1908. He was the leader of a revolution which took place in th© preceding month, •and which resulted in the deposition of the previous President, General Nord Alexis, who narrowly escaped assassination, and was compelled to take refuge on a French warsliip.
