The directors of the South Otago Freezing Company met at Ba-lclutha on Monday and considered tenders for the erection of tho works. . The following tenders were received,* all tenders being of brick except where otherwise stated John Walker Invercargill, £25,623; Walker Bros., Invercargill, £23.208; Alexander Bain, Dunodn, £26,078 11s; Watson, Rhodes ajid Bon, Dunedin, £23,740; McKinnon and Hamilton, Dunedin. £23,337 15s; Crawford and Watson. Dunedin, £23.588; Hunter and Murray. Balclutha, £22,599 10a sd* G Ijavrrenoe and Son. Ltd., Dunedin. £24.58i Ifcs sd; 11. Lyders, Dunedin, brick £21,949 concrete £21.250; fcrro-concrct© £23.000Cr. Hodges. Dunedin. £21.500. Mr LyderV tender for a, concrete building at £21,250 was accepted. Tho contract provides for tho building being completed in time for next fat lamb season.
