AVAIKARAPA A.ND EAST COAST I’. AND-A. SOCIETYTho second annual ploughing match, under tho auspices of the Wairarapa and East Coast Fastoral and Agricultural Society, took pi nee yesterday .at Air Tlligiey's farm, .Morrison's, Bush,-and was attemled by a largo number of farmers from all parts of rho district. From tho number of motor-cars present one would naturally conclude that farming was a very profitable occupation in tho Wairarapa. 'The competitions were keenly contested. Next year's match is to bo held on an earlier date, as the society recogniae-s that tho beginning of August is not suitable, the ground being usually too wot. . Results:—

Open Ploughing Competition.—Double furrow-, cast’ shares, only skoiths allowed; open competition for host all-round ploughing, plain cut, feering and finish to bo taken into consideration.
