GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY. (By the Government ITeteoroloeifit.) Present indications (5 p.m. Wednesday) are for moderate to strong westerly winds, cloudy and showery weather generally. The barometer will probably rise slowly in the far north, but is unsteady elsewhere. A further fall is likely to precede a smart rise in about twenty-four hours. (Details on shipping page.)
