WEDNESDAY HOCKEY COMPETITION
KAEOEI AND PETONE A BE AW. Owing to >the city grounds being unplayable yesterday the Wednesday Association wore only able to deem© on© game in their competition. This, was played at Petono between Ka,rori and Petono -A teams, which are leading for the championship, and resulted, in a draw, each side scoring a goal. Both goals were scored in the first half. P. Spiers scored Karori’s goal, and J. ItcEwan Potone's. The ground was very wet, and the play therefore ©crappy. Conspicuous players for ICarori were Cooper, F. and K. Spiers, Gaylord and Atkin, and for Petone McEwau brothers, Berwick, lliddler, and Klcholls. Mr G. Carver was referee.
