THE WEATHER PROSPECT?
GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY. (By the Government Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. Tuesday) are for increasing northerly winds, and gales are probable southward of New Plymouth and Napier; cloudy and unsettled weather preceding rain in most parts of the country. ' The barometer has a falling tendency everywhere, especially in the south, and the seas are increasing on all the western coast. (Details on shipping page.) .
