(A team in white, B team in colours.) Junior. Trial game Day's Bay No. 3. (A team in white, B team in colours.) ROCKET PRACTICE. The periodical rocket drill of the Wellington Harbour Board pilot staff took place at Lyall Bay yesterday morning from 9 o’clock till 11 o’clock. A _doaen men, comprising members of the pTTot staff and a few of the permanent slatf, under charge of Pilot Dawson, engaged in the practice, which took place under favourable conditions. An imaginary wreck, about 259 feet in length, at a "range of 700 feet, was skilfully reached by the two rockets which were fired. The staff proved that within five minutes of the arrival of the rocket apparatus on tho scene they were able to throw a rocket line ower the wreck. Tho ■ practice was very satisfactory, and tho gear was found to bo in first-claes condition.
