WHARF PILLAGING
ANOTHER ARREST
ALL ACCUSED TO APPEAR ON , FRIDAY.
PEES 3 ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, August 1. Another development (Of what is known generally as the wharf pillaging cases took place'to-day, when Arthur Glover was arrested. Before Mr C. C. Kettle, S.M., this afternoon he was charged : (1) That on April 25th, IP]], ho' forged a telegram purporting to bo .signed by A. Tanfield, authorising the Union Company at Greymouth to deliver certain goods, to wit, five cases of drapery; (2) that on or about March SOth, 1911, at Auckland, he stole from the wharf goods to the value of ,£lo'7 13s, .the property of Milne and CJloycc. On the application of Ohiof-Detectivo Marsack a remand was granted till Friday, when other persons .alleged to be concerned in tho wharf robberies will como up.
Bail in one surety of JS2CO was granted, and was immediately forthcoming, the bondsman heiug Mr A. E. Glover, M.P.
