Advice has been received by the ’ocal oflioe of the Waihi Goldmining Company that the directors have doaiared another dividend, the seventy-fourth, of Ss per <bhare for the quarter, payable on September Ist. This will absorb £49,590 14*;, said will bring the total dividends and bonuses decUtred by the company to £4,284,662 7s Btl. The total value ot the bullion. won from the mine to date is £9,483,163. The reduction of the dividend from 4s to 2s per share is in accordance ■with the announcement made by tho.directors of the company in January* last, 'When it was decided to reduce the output dram the mine.

Tho superintendent ot tho mine, in reporting upon tho operations carried out during the four-weekly period ended June Ittli, states: No. 10 level—The north crosscut from No. 5 shaft was advanced 15ft, making a total of 114 ft; a quartz body 2ft wide was passed through at 107 ft. No. 9 level (Koyal lode) —The west face was ad74ft. making a total of 666tt. Five loot in the lodo is exposed in tho face with tho north wall in hand.
