News was received tills morning that the two men Higgins and Baker, -who attempted to crofs AVaikarcmoana on a raJt lust were* discovered by ilaoris crossing the lake last Tuesday to the pah on the' other side. They noticed something moving on the water, and on pulling closer found the two men in an exhausted condition still pulling feebly. They 'wore taken over to tho pah and cared for. Had it not Ijeen "for this help they must have died* The weather was bitterly cold on the Lake. The anon are being brought to Ohinepoto, near lake Hones*
