Speaking in tho House of Commons, Sir Edward Grey, Secretary for Foreign' Affaire, paid a high, tribute to tho lato Sir Eldon Goret, British Envoy in Egypt. Before further reforms wore effected in Egypt, he continued, the views of tho men on tho spot must be ascertained. Lord Kitchener would ho given time to survey the situation. His appointment did nob imply tho adoption of a reactionary policy.
