FIRE BOARDS IN DEFENCE
PKES3 ASSOCIATION. ■VyAN’G-AJvrtJl, July 29. Speaking at the Fire Brigade's annual tanq.net this evening. Superintendent Hugo combatted the statements recently made at Palmerston North by Mr Mallard, of the Pire Underwriters’ Association. to the effect *hat the fire board system had proved a disappointment. He- said that the board had only been in existence ihree and a half years, so that it was unfair to make comparisons.
