Sloping.—Tho values from tho slopes off No. 6 rise average £1 10a Bd, off No. 12 rise average £lO 3s lid, and off No. 15 rise average £2 12s 7d. WAJ3II GEAND JUNCTION. The report of work done during the fourweekly period ending June 17th, 1911, , states; No.. 3 shaft has been sunk lift, but further sinking will have to wait now for completion of winding plant and poppet Loads. The foundations for the winding engino and capstan arc completed. No. 3 lov'd. —Tho 31 ary lode; East drive is along 302 ft at 330 ft oast. East lode: The lode narrowed to 24-inches. At this point a crosscut was put in lift on the hanging wall side, and 'disclosed 60 inches of soUd eoantry, and then 72 inches of quartz. It was found that the main lode had split at 277ft‘. cast. The drive has been opened, out at this point, and now driving is proceeding on the hanging wall branch, which, is 47 inches wide. Tho hanging wall drive is along 277 ft. Three hundred and ninety-five tons of low grade ore came from the above work, and went to the milL In No. 4 level, on the Mary lode, the drive east is in 409 ft. The reef has been extremely irregular in width, and the average width and assay for the driving done were 67 inches, worth £1 7a JOd. A 13it crosscut at 370 ft east proved the width of the lode at this point to be 126 inches, worth £1 2a Bd. No. 5 level, Mary lode.—No. 3 rise is up 97ft, productSg 60 tons of low grade ore. The reef fs wider than the rise, no wall having been exposed. No. 4 lode (Empire).—At the 930 ft rive there are 76 inches of oro worth £3 3 s. The crosscut at 30ft up, put in 10ft, shows bo far the lode to be 10ft wide at 461 ft. The lode in the 9£Gft crosscut, south of the Empire, is 43 inches wide, worth 10s 3d,, and dips flatly to the south-east. The George lode in the oast drive is only 12 inches wide in tho wc(st drive. Forty-one inches- -of tho reef assayed £2 13a lid.
