Murray, Roberts and Co.—“ The sales have opened with a good attendance of buyers, •competition being fair. Crossbred greasy coarse show a decline of par to 5 per cent., while other descriptions of crossbred hate declined 5 per cent. The selection offered, both of crossbred and merino, is very poor, and in the case of the latter not sufficient to tost tho market.”

United Farmers’ Co-operative Association. Ltd.—“ Tho fourth series of wool sales opened to-day, and were well attended by Homo, Continental, and American buyers. Fine crossbred eold at par to 5 per cent, decline, medium crossbred 5 per cent, decline, and coarse crossbred par to 5 per cent, decline, as compared with closing rates of previous sale.”

Levin and 00., Ltd.—“ Wool sales opened. Prices are ruling from par to 5 pear cent, down. Scoured and -elipcs are mostly affected. There is only a poor selection offering.”

Abraham and Williams, Ltd.—“ The Bales have opened with a good attendance of buyers, competition being middling. As compared with the opening rates of last series, merinos show no change. Fine, medium, and coarse crossbreds from par to 5 per cedt- down.”
