CROPS IN AMERICA
DAMAGE BY HEAT WAVE. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. WASHINGTON, July 11. The Bureau of tho Department of Agriculture reports that the recent heat wave played havoc with the crops of foedstuffs. Oats are said to bo the hardest hit. The wheat crop is about an average, while tho corn acreage is tho largest recorded; but tho condition is 7 per cent, below the average.
