FAREWELL TO LONDON THE PREMIER’S PARTING SPEECH. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright, LONDON, July 11. The Secretary for the Colonies (Mr L. Haroourt) and Mrs Harcouxt, Sir Charles Lucas (head of the Dominions Department of the Colonial Office), and many New Zealanders assembled at Charing Cross Station to bid farewell to Six Joseph and Lady Ward on their departure from London. Sir Joseph Ward, in a parting speech, expressed the pleasure tho visit had given him. New Zealand, he said, recognised that her hope was centred in the Motherland and the power oi the navy. The attachment between tho Homeland and the Dominions was increasing.
