SUBURBS RIFLE CLUB
The Suburbs Rifle Club held a social gathering in the ila-onic Hall, Newtown, last night. There was a large attendance of, members, their wives and lady friends. Amongst those present was Mr J. P. Lute. M.P. The president of the club (Mr W. M: Jackson) presided. Proceedings opened with a euchre tournament, at the conclusion of which Mrs Luke, presented the shooting prizes won during last' season. The hall was then cleared for dancing, which was kept up till an early hour this morning. The gathering was a success in every way and the enthusiasm displayed augurs well for the future of this young club. ,
