FIRE BRIGADE MEETING.
SPECIAL TO THE "TIKES.” PALMERSTON NORTH, July 11. The annual meeting of the Palmerston North Fire Brigade was held at the central station last night. Superintendent C. C. Warner presiding. The balancesheet showed a substantial balance in the members’ account. The receipts included £37 donations received from various townspeople for services rendered during the year. The election of a committee for the year resulted as follows: Superintendent, Mr C. C. Warner; foremen, Messrs C. S. Rush and P. Milverton ; firemen, Messrs E. Little, R. T. Rush, and G. Dredge. It was decided to vote for Rotorua as the place for the 1312 conference, and to nse every endeavour to get the United Fire Brigades’ Association to hold the 1913 conference and demonstration at Palmerston North.
