THE HUTT ROAD.
Mr J. P. Luke, M.P-, has sent the fql* lowing letter to tho Minister of Railways:—"Dear Sir, —In constructing the new Hutt road you will remember a portion throughout its length is set up as a path ana cycle way, the two being in common without a dividing curb. I dosire to draw your attention to the practice of motor cyclists using the foot and cycle way to the great danger of pedestrians. . Already there have been several narrow escapes from serious accidents, and I feel sure if steps are not taken to prevent motorists using tho track life and limb will be imperilled. I would urge you to instruct tout officers to have notice boards erected along tbo road svaming motorists not to use the foot and cycle way.”
