THE NEW THEATRE. Splendid attendances were recorded at the continuous picture entertainment at the New Theatre throughout yesterday Today the current programme will be presented for tho last time from 11 a.m. till 11 p.m. To-morrow some unique features will be the principal items in the customary o*woekly change of programme. THEATRE ROYAL. Tho audio ice at the Theatre Royal was numerous and manifested the utmost approval of the programme presented by Pullers’ vaudeville company. Mr Joe Watts and Miss Madge Luras, expert dancers mode a. mo.st successful debut. Air Watts’s display of dancing evoked prolonged applause, and Miss Lucas was atio accorded an enthusiastic re?,option. The other members of tho company were all recalled for their contributions.. The programmo will be repeated this evening. HIS MAJESTY’S PICTURES. A bumper house at His Majesty's Theatre spoke eloquently of the success of Fullers' Pictures. There will b© a complete chango of programme this evening, which will include an Edison masterpiece “A Strike in the Aline.” OPERA HOUSE. A house packed in all parts bore eloquent testimony last night to the popularity of the comic opera “Tho Arcadians.” From start to ftnisu the fun never ceases, and the songs and choruses and graceful dancing kept tho aitdienco entertained throughout. The piece will be staged again this evening. THE CALEDONIAN ENTERTAINERSAt the Town .Kail concert chamber the Caledonian Entertainers will appear next Saturday and Men day evenings. The company comprises Air Jock Willis (tho popular Scotch lomcdian, late of Pollard’s Opera Company!, Mr Tam McLean (basso), Afr Colin Cameron (tenor), Mr Robert Ferguson (baritone), and Air Edward Headlam, monologue entertainer and acco npanist. In addition, to tho various musical items a refined athletic display will be given by Air Dave Smith, New Zealand’s champion middle-weight boxer of the world. Air Smith will give a ball-punching exhibition, teside skipping r.ncl shadow sparring, etc. The box plan is now open at the Dresden, and Jay sales car. bn procured at Abel's.
