Following the continued agitation for improvements to the Palmerston North railway station, Mr D- lluiclc,M.P., has received word from the Minister for Railways that important alterations to the local station will shortly bn carried out. A new platform for incoming traffic is to be erected with a Church street frontage, from which passengers will be able to proceed into Mam street via the subway. This will greatlv relieve the congestion at tho old platform, and should prove a great convenience to the travelling public.
