HEARTY RECEPTION AT DUBLIN ROYAL REPLY TO ADDRESS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright LONDON, July 9. Their Majesties’ State entry into Dublin was characterised by an inspiriting display of loyalty. Tho warmth of the reception exceeded all expectations. Replying to an address of welcome, King George said he regretted the briefness of his stay. He had desired to take tho earliest opportunity of coming amongst tho Irish people, in whoso welfare his interest was deep ] and abiding. I Tho King opened the Royal College j of Science, visited Trinity College, I and attended tho Phoenix Park races. MAYOR’S LOYALTY FRUSTRATED. A TRAITOR’S TRICK. Tho Lord Mayor intended presenting an address at Leehon Bridge, which tho corporation refused to sanction. Tho intention was checkmated by someone daubing the seats allotted to the Mayoral party with paint. To-day the Royal party visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and afterwards went to May Booth College. VISIT TO MAYNOOTH COLLEGE. LOYAL WELCOME BY CARDINAL AND BISHOPS. (Received July 10, 10.10 p.m.) f LONDON, July 10. Six hundred students of Maynooth College were absent on vacation at the time of tho Royal visit. Cardinal Loguo, Primate of Ireland, and fourteen bishops received their Majesties, and presented an address of welcome. The Cradinal added that they had followed Die Coronation with deep interest, and ■wore able to share without The Cardinal added that they had The King, in his reply, said, “We are touched at the thought that Maynooth shared in tho joy of our Coronation, which was the great and sacred occasion of onx lives. Our reception to-day is an example of the affectionate greeting always accorded by the warmhearted Irish people.” KILMAINHAM HOSPITAL INSPECTED. Their Majesties afterwards visited tho Royal Hospital at Kilmainham, j where 350 veterans paraded.
