Tho Wellington. Brandi of the. New Zealand Federation of Labour (miners') held a very successful meeting' last Friday evening in the Socialist liall. Manners street. Mr TV. Roberts was uiianim ously elected president, and Mr TV, Taylor secretary. Several names were handed in for membership. An address on “The relations between slave and slave-owner" was delivered bv Mr R. Pose, editor of the "Maoriland Worker." He traced the position of tho worker from feudalism to serfdom and on. to wage-earning, handling his subject with much skill.
