ORE-SMELTING TRADE
NEW SOUTH WALES COMPLAINTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. SYDNEY, July 7. A deputation representing the oresmelting industry asked the Government for concessions on the carriage of ores, and also for the imposition of an export duty. ' It was stated that Germany had captured the trade, and practically all high-grade ores were sent to £hat country for treatment. Mr Carmichael, Acting-Chief Secretary, promised sympathetic consideration to tho deputation’s request.
