| AN EXTENSION OF AWARD. Next week the secretary of the Wellington Cooks and Waiters' Union, Mr E. J. Carey, will leave on an organising tour in Palmerston North, Wanganui, Hastings and Nap.er. His object will be to present to hotel licensees in those districts a set of claims which is based upon the existing Wellington award, with the object ol hav.ng them embodied in an award to operate in the country centres. • The operat;on of the Wellington award only extends to a radius of twenty-five miles from the General Post Office,
