THE WEATHER PROSPECTS
GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY. (By the Government Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. Friday) are for increasing northerly and westerly winds, especially about Cook Strait and-in the south, where gales are probable. A change in weather conditions is expected soon—increasing cloudiness preceding rain in most parts, but especially southward of Kawhia and Castlepoint—the barometer falling everywhere, particularly in the south.
