the Loyal Wellington Juvenile Lodge, T.Q.0.P., M.U., held its meeting last Monday evening, liro. O'Sullivan, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance of members, and after the officers for the current term had been installed by liro. S. Guy, P.G., various games were indulged in. The next meeting is an "Kssay night," the topic being the "Coronation Inhibition." The Pacific Lodge, 1T.A.0.8-., held its regular meeting last Monday evening, IJro. G. McKay, A.D., presiding. A number of visitors were present. Ono candidate was installed and another proposed. Court Sir Georgo Bowon, A.0.P., met at St. Peter's Schoolroom last Monday evening under the presidency of Bro. Bond. C.E., who installed his successor to office (Bro. Hunter) and the other officers to their several chairs: Ono candidate was initiated. The Court will celebrate its fortv-fourth anniversary with a social at its next meeting. The St. Patrick's Branch of the "Hibernian Society held its half-vearly meeting last Monday evening in St. Patrick's Hall, Bro. W. J. Feeney. 8.P., presiding. Reports were made by various sub-, committees and delegates and (ho bal-ance-sheet by tho Secretary disclosed a very marked increase, both financially and numerically. The officers for the ensuing term wero installed by Bro. Feeney, assisted by Bro. J. W. Callaghan, D.D., and Bro. O'Shaughnessy, P.P., of Christchurch. Six candidates were initiated and four more proposed. The half-yearly meeting of tho N.Z. District nibornian Society takes place in Auckland next month, and will bo attended by Bros. Shaldrick and Stead, on behalf of tho St. Patrick's Branch, Wellington.

Don’t overpersuade a man to join your lodge who is unworthy, simply to increase its membership.

Don't tell your wife, when you are out late at night, that the lodge had special business, when you wore elsewhere engaged. Don't.apply for your final ca.nl simply because you've had a tilt on some simple point and didn’t win.

Don’t attend lodge only at times when you arc a candidate for political office, but go there regularly at all times. Don’t introduce foolish and unprofitable matter to the lodge simply to display your eloquence.

Don’t fail to defend the virtues of the Order whenever you hear it assailed by either ignorant or. intelligent men. Don’t claim for tiny Order a higher standard of cth'.cs than its teachings warrant —there are none higher to claim. Don’t accept a position in tho lodge unless you feel competent to perform the duties required and bring credit to yourself as well as tho lodge. Don't fail to keep alive tho triple virtues of Friendship, Love, and ’truth.
