PEEBS ASSOCIATION. NAPIEB, May 23. At a sitting of the Conciliation Council here, Mr Hally presiding, to hear an application by tne employers in the trawling industry for variation at the terms of agreement in the direction ol permitting freedom of contract, the t©mj>loy©rs, contended that _ under the present award it was impossible to conduct the fishing industry at a profit, and unless a modification was agreed to tn© boats would have to lay up and a number of meal would b© thrown out ot work.
