fIpHE most striking: exhibit in the "J" hall is that made by, W. Dimock and Coy.. Limited, at Stall No. 2. This energetic and up-to-date firm has arranged a display of its products so as to produce a most pleasing effect, which undoubtedly has been secured. "There's more in a hog than appears „on his face," was never more simply , exemplified than in the effect made with the productions on this exhibit. In these days of substitution and adulteration it is of " the utmost importance that every article intended for consumption in the home should be above suspicion., Messrs W. Dimock‘and Coy., Ltd., have taken the opportunity of showing to the public the various products of their factory. Recognising the ever-increasing fastidiousness'of the housewife of the land, this company, during the last few years, has built the most up-to-date factory south of the line, and are now in a position to turn out a variety of canned eatables attractive enough to tempt . the "direst dispeptic to sin.". The perfection of the' "Swan" Brand hams and bacon is so well known, from Auckland.to the. Bluff that it wquld be superfluous to refer to this were it not for the fact that it is •sometimes said that really good bacon'is; not. obtainable in New Zealand. In this connection it might be said that the com-:: pany some few months ago sent several shipments to - London, and the' quality •was pronounced to be equal to the very best .of the Home article. With this company "quality" is the prime consideration, for from the first selection of the pig to the completion of the finished product every precaution is tp-ken to ensure this result. There are also seen fancy pork sausages with the customary small goods. The "Swan" Pork German is also shown in large-sized tins.. This article is now largely in demand'right throughout the Dominion. The methods of working at the factory are the most up-to-date in the world, and the machinery and appliances are far in advance of anything in Australasia.
