Tho gas installation committee of the Greytoivn Borough Council have decided to call-for tenders for the erection" of a showroom for gas appliances on the Town Hall site. - A children’s fancy dress ball in aid of tho. Grey town Bov Scouts Corps is- to be held on July 13*. a. or thereabouts, this date not being quite definite. Scoutmiotross Beard and Leader Muir havo been .appointed joint secretaries. V ". ■ The Martin borough Bowling Club has decided to hold a social and dance" on June 15th, and Messrs H. Mackey, H. G. Lewis, and S. B. Gawith have been appointed a subcommittee to make the necessary arrangements. At the next meeting of the Carterton Borough Council.; a deputation from tho local fire brigade rill attend for the purpose of urging that the fire brigade station bo connected with the telephone exchange.
