Mr 0. Bailey, junr. (Auckland), has just 1 laid the kcelplato for a new passenger boat for the Dcvrmport Ferry Company, Auckland. Tho vessel is to carry 1400 passengers. She is to bo ready early in December, and is to bo the fastest ferry boat at Auckland. The Petouo is expected at 'Wellington next Sunday or Monday from, southern ports, and is to sail on Monday for Picton and Grey mouth. Tho Breeze is expected at Wellington this evening from Gisborne. She is to sail to-morrow for Lyttelton and Dunedin. Tho Niwa-ru (from London via ports) left Napier last night for Wellington; where she is due early this afternoon. She will i berth at the King’s wharf to complete discharge. and will sail on Friday for Timaru for Homeward loading. A possible arrival this evening is the Manuka, which left San Francisco on tho 3rd instant for Wellington via Papeete and Rarotonga. Sho is scheduled to arrive hero to-morrow, but her ability to steam ahead of time has been proven in the past. She is to berth at No. 4, Queen’s wharf. .
