An Irishman* ;he .arrived in .that •State tfn 1856, and now o,wns several .estates in tho Biverina and ‘Darling district© and tn Queensland, lie .has .expended over £30,000 in importing stud sheep. He has done .much .for ,the .pastoral industry by extensive undertakings in irrigation and cultivation, and on tho .North Tanco estate alone he. has constructed upwards of 100 miles of irrigation canals.
