AIIUAKGING FOB THE DAVIS CUP CONTEST. LETT Eli FROM AUSTRALIA. At a nicotine of the management com* mitten. of the Sew Zealand Lawn Tennis Association last night- a letter was received from the Australian Lawn Tennis Association asking'that a place be recommended where the Davis Cup contest shall ho committee decided to call a special meeting of council for June 27th. at which tho New Zealand Association will be consulted upon this matter, the associations in the four chief centre* ard being written to for Information ns to the suitability of each place. The Australian Association asks for a match court- and two practice courts, apart from one another, for the competing teams to’ ora rife on. The New Zealand author! lies are also asked for the estimated cost of Standi to hold five thousand persons and the cost - of preparation and rental of grounds. Dr W. V. Eaves was appointed New Zealand delegate to the All England Dawn tennis Association.
