BABY FOUND IN RIVER
PRESS. ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, May 22. The body of a newly-born male child was found in the Heathcot© river yesterday. At the inquest this morning the evidence showed that the child was bom alive and death was due to failure to tie the umbilical cord. , The child was dead when it was put into tire water. No evidence as to identity was forthcoming.
