AMONG CANNIBALS
BLACK DESERTERS FATE AMONG PAPUANS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received May 22, 1 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 21. News from Port Moresby, New Guinea, states that the single survivor of a party of thirteen native deserters from a plantation has arrived there. Ho states that after deserting they met a party of cannibals, who bound and killed the remander of the party. The survivor managed to bite his bonds and escape. From cover he watched the cannibals cook and eat his friends.
