Yawn aa often as possible, but yawn well! Is the new medical precept. "A good yawn is excellent for tue lungs. _ It is also to I>© recommended when a difficulty in swallowing is experienced, as_ well as ‘in certain cases of defective hearing," but ordinary, ‘careless, unscientific, and empirical yawning is no good at ail. Yawning must de practised as breathing should bo. The yawn should set in action all tho muscles of the chest and* throat. It must, .therefore, bo as deep aa possible. Scientific yawning requires that the arms bo outstretched. Tho air circulating in the lungs i s thus more completely renewed. The yawning cure consists of a series of Bis or eight successive yawns, care being taken to swallow between, each.
