CRICKET
WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Wellington Cricket Assedation was hold at the Occidental Hotel last evening, Mr M. Lmclde presiding. A ccmmonioatiou was received from the Canterbury Cricket Association inquiring if the New Year dates could' bo kept open in order that a match might be played at Wellington.—lt was deckled to accept the dates in the mean ta mo, and to try to arrange a match on the Basin Eeaerve. ’ The secretary was instructed to write to the Auckland Cricket Association asking that a team be sent to play in Wellington during the Christmas week.
